Craig Wright has a new contract with Winnipeg Jets

Winnipeg Jets winger Craig Wright is under contract with the Winnipeg Jets for the 2018-19 season, according to a team announcement released on Friday.

The Winnipeg Jets have released a press release that Wright is officially signed to a four-year contract.

The Jets signed Wright to a three-year deal worth $12 million ($4.25 million AAV) on March 5, 2018.

Wright was a second-round pick (No. 25) of the Jets in the 2017 NHL Draft.

The 27-year-old has played in eight NHL seasons with the Jets, Pittsburgh Penguins, Calgary Flames, Buffalo Sabres, Edmonton Oilers, Anaheim Ducks and New York Islanders.

The former No. 1 overall pick had a career-high 24 goals and 64 points in 121 games for the Jets last season.
