Canadian tech is celebrating its birthday this week, with a celebration taking place at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation.
The celebration is being organized by the Canadian Association for the Advancement of Science, a national organization representing Canadian science, technology, engineering and mathematics professionals.
The event is called “Tech Busters.”
The event kicks off at 10 a.m. and runs until 4 p.m., at the CBC headquarters in Ottawa.
Canadian Science Minister Maryam Monsef is hosting the event at the same time the federal government is announcing a series of measures aimed at curbing the spread of the coronavirus.
The government announced a new $50 million fund for research and development in Canada’s science and technology sector on Monday, which will help fund new research and training programs.
